Reiki, IET, Spiritual Healing
The difference between Reiki, IET, and Spiritual Healing are many. In this blog we will give you a background on each so that you may be able to make informed decisions on what healing modality best suits your needs.
Let’s begin with Reiki, one of the oldest and most well known energy healing modality. Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing, it is considered alternative and is not a replacement to traditional Western Medicine, but as a compliment. It is traditionally a hands-on healing, but can be completed with hands hovering over the areas to be treated. The practitioner is a channel and allows the “universal energy” to move through them and their hands allowing it to be absorbed by the client. Reiki does not harm and knows where to go for the highest good of the client. Master Usui, which most traditional Reiki is named experienced what he called an empowerment, it allowed him to heal and receive enlightenment. Reiki has transformed since the time of Usui and now has rituals and attunements for the passing of the energy. There are many new modalities of Reiki that are moving back to the original empowerments to pass on the energy, some of which are taught at Christa Healing and Wellness Center. Moving on to IET or Integrated Energy Therapy, this modality is very much like Reiki but works on a cellular level. Channeled by Stevan Thayer and working with the nine Healing Angels of the Energy Field this form of hands-on healing releases the issues from the tissues. Similar to Reiki, IET uses hand positions to channel the energy to the client.
Finally, Spiritual Healing, this is the purest form of energetic healing, the practitioner gently places their hands on the client’s shoulders and allows the Source Energy to be channeled to the client. The client just simply sits in a chair and receives the energy. In many cases the practitioner may have two other practitioners channeling energy to the primary practitioner and are acting as batteries. This form of energetic healing was used by Harry Edwards and remote healing of this nature is performed by the Inner Quest Foundation in Canada. In the United States Ambrose and Olga Worrall were famous spiritual healers and started a church in Maryland which still provides services today.
All three of these modalities can be performed in-person and remote with the exception of Spiritual Healing which is most often done in person.
At Christa Healing and Wellness we believe that the practitioner is a channel for the healing energy. Source, God, or Universal Life Force Energy (you may choose what you call it) is doing the work, we, the practitioners are conduits. We may be led to place our hands in other areas (Reiki / IET) or use alternative hand positions but we are not healing, nor are we attempting to receive messages. We will provide you with insight if Spirit guides us or provides us with the information. As practitioners we truly believe that to attempt to receive a message is to split ourselves energetically and that you are not receiving the highest level of energetic healing. We will not provide diagnoses, nor will there be a message from Spirit or a family member. That is for another time and it is an entirely different service.
